Meet our Family!

The Severy family

Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Shrewsbury Vermont, Severy Family Maple is owned and operated by Phillip and Becky Severy.     Phillip is a 4th generation sugar maker and is passing on his knowledge, love, and expertise in sugaring to our four children Phillip Jr., Abigail, Ethan, and Alannah.   We know how important family is and strive to bring only the best to your table!

A Tradition of Taste

Severy Family Maple was born out of  our love of pure Vermont maple syrup.   The Severy love affair with maple began in the early 1900's.   As 4th and 5th generation Vermont sugar makers, Phillip and our boys say they have "sap running through their veins!"  Phillip's father, Kendall Severy, was even crowned the Vermont Maple King in 1970!

The Tradition Continues On!

Our two boys, Phillip Jr. and Ethan, often work right alongside their father out in the woods.  They are learning the value of hard work and the sweet taste of success as they run their own set of lines in their sugar bush.  Working together, they have even built their own evaporator from an old barrel stove.  I think it's safe to say that the family tradition continues on!
